§ Mr. Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is now in a position to announce the names of the chairman and members of the National Council on Prices, Productivity, and Incomes; and whether the announced terms of reference of this council will permit an investigation as to the effect upon the inflationary spiral of the reduction and abolition of food and housing subsidies, the rebate to surtax payers, the increase in rents and rates, and the abolition of price controls.
