Mr. Russell

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food the chief items of miscellaneous food preparations as listed in the Trade and Navigation Accounts, which were imported from the United States of America in the first six months of 1957, together with the value of each.

Mr. Amory

The total value of the imports from the U.S.A. under this heading was £5,255,609 of which £5,227,564 related to lard.

Mr. Russell

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food the chief kinds of fruit and vegetables imported from the United States of America during the first six months of this year, together with the value of each.
