asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will make a statement about the establishment of quotas for the 25 items whose export to China is subject to quantitative restriction for strategic reasons.

The recommendations of the China Committee of the Paris Consultative Group have now been received for nearly all the items, and applicants for licences to export these goods to China will now be told whether licences can be granted to them.
