§ Mr. Tilneyasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies the number of overseas civil servants employed in each of the African Colonial Territories and on secondment to the Government of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland on 31st January in each of the years 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956, and 1957, respectively.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydI regret that the information required is not available and could not be obtained without much research and inquiry from the Governments concerned.
The numbers of overseas civil servants serving at the beginning of 1956 in the undermentioned territories were as follows:
