§ 96. Mr. P. Noel-Bakerasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what decision he has reached concerning the re-imposition of a speed limit on the Ashbourne Road, Derby, and its extension to the borough boundary, in accordance with the request made to him by a deputation consisting of representatives of the County Borough Council, the Road Safety Committee and the Chief Constable in January last.
§ Mr. WatkinsonAs I explained to the right hon. Gentleman in a letter I sent him yesterday, I do not think the reimposition of the 30 m.p.h. speed limit on this stretch of road would make any real contribution to safety.
