§ 64. Mr. V. Yatesasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he is now in a position to state the Colonies in which prisoners are still kept in chains; and when he estimates that this method of treating prisoners will be abolished throughout all British Colonies.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydI will send a full report of the present position to the hon. Member very shortly and copies will be placed in the Library of the House. I cannot say when the complete abolition of this form of restraint in all territories will be possible.
