asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what advice he has given to Her Majesty on the petition submitted recently from Sierra Leone about the forthcoming elections.

I am still considering this petition and have not yet tendered advice to Her Majesty upon it. The position remains as in my reply to the hon. Member for Bilston (Mr. R. Edwards) on 10th April.
