HC Deb 15 April 1957 vol 568 cc163-4W
Dr. Broughton

asked the Minister of Health how many clinical assistants have had their salaried hospital appointments terminated during the twelve months up to the latest convenient date; and the future policy in respect of this grade of hospital medical officer.

Mr. Vosper

I regret that the information asked for in the first part of the Question is not available. I shall continue to encourage the employment of general practitioners as clinical assistants in suitable hospital posts.
