Sir G. Lloydasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will introduce legislation to reassess the value of property for the purposes of Income Tax, Schedule A.
§ Mr. P. ThorneycroftI do not propose to introduce such legislation this year, but, as I announced in my Budget statement, the Finance Bill will include provisions to deal with the effects on Schedule A liabilities in Scotland and Northern Ireland of recent changes in their rating laws.
