Mr. Allaun

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies to state the names of the seven people, all without political interests, who have been refused passports in Jamaica, though they have not been to gaol, and the reasons in each case for such refusal.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

The Governor of Jamaica has refused to grant passports to six persons with criminal records. The details are as follows:

D. H. Dixon, Assault (2).

A. N. Holmes, Wounding, Assault (2).

C. Russell. Fraudulent Conversion.

G. U. Shorter, Unlawful Wounding, Assault.

L. Sinclair, Unlawful Wounding (2).
