§ Mr. Emrys Hughesasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty the expenditure he has incurred on naval preparations in connection with the Suez Canal dispute ; and what he estimates is now the current weekly expenditure.
Mr. WardThe extra expenditure incurred by the Admiralty in connection with the Suez Canal dispute up to 30th September was about £425,000. The extra weekly expenditure is at present about £15,000.
