§ Mr. Lewisasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether, in his proposed legislation dealing with the abolition of rent control, he will take such action as to ensure that profits are not made at the expense of tenants by landlords ; that any proposed increases shall be used in improving the property ; and that profits recently made by property companies and others on the Stock Exchange shall be taken over by the Government to finance a new housing drive.
