§ Mr. F. Noel-Bakerasked the Minister of Labour what steps he has taken to prevent an increase in the number of unemployed in Swindon as a result of redundancy at the factory of Messrs. Pressed Steel; and how many former workers at this factory are now unemployed.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodI am not aware of any redundancy or prospective redundancy in Swindon that calls for any special action on my part. Of the 28 men redundant at the Pressed Steel works on 28th September, one remains unemployed.
