§ 55. Sir W. Anstruther-Grayasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is aware that, under his regulations, local fire brigades are forbidden to assist in pumping out flood water from private or public premises unless loss of life is threatened ; and whether he will now review these regulations.
§ Mr. J. StuartI have made no regulations to the effect indicated. The use of a brigade for purposes other than fire-fighting is a matter for the fire authority.
