§ Mr. Gresham Cookeasked the Secretary of State for Air to what extent it is estimated that the sunspot activity earlier in the year was responsible for bad weather during the summer months; and whether it is expected that in 1957–58 sun-spot activity will be more or less marked.
§ Mr. BirchIt has not been established that sunspots affect the weather. Sunspot activity next year is expected to be higher than in 1956.
