asked the Postmaster-General how many new telephones will have been installed in the Borough of Solihull during 1956; how many applications will be outstanding on 1st January, 1957; and how many he expects to install during 1957.

It is estimated that over 1,300 telephones will be installed in Solihull this year and about 2,000 next year; 1,650 applications are expected to be outstanding on 1st January, 1957.
