HC Deb 26 November 1956 vol 561 cc15-6W
88. Mr. Allaun

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power if he is satisfied that, following the conflict in Egypt, the present stocks and supply of fuel are sufficient to keep those engaged in British steelworks, factories and railways in full employment; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Aubrey Jones

The arrangements I have announced are designed to maintain production to the greatest possible extent, and with the full co-operation of the public and of all concerned with industry they should enable us to avoid serious employment difficulties.
