§ Miss Hornsby-SmithMy information is that during the months January to October, 1956, inclusive, 28,396 cwt. of dried whole egg, valued at £961,503, was imported into the United Kingdom. The imports were subject to inspection and sampling by the port health authority. I cannot say how much was condemned as unfit for human consumption. Any such egg would be disposed of in a way satisfactory to the port health authority.
