HC Deb 14 November 1956 vol 560 c15W
5. Mr. Woodburn

asked the Postmaster-General whether, before fixing standards of efficiency for colour television, steps will be taken to ensure that these will be such as to suit international requirements so that insular specifications will not again exclude us from the export market of the future.

Dr. Hill

Together with other problems, the international aspect of colour television is now being examined by the Television Advisory Committee. Full weight will be given to the issue raised by the right hon. Gentleman.
