asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies by what per- centage the market price of citrus fruit has increased in British Honduras since 1951, showing each year separately.

The prices for grapefruit paid to British Honduras growers since 1951 have been as follows:

Nearly all the oranges produced are sold for processing and, during the past few seasons up to 1953–54, growers have been paid 7s. 6d. per box; for the 1954–55 season the price has been 6s. 6d. per box, a fall of 13.6 per cent.
