asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will arrange for an inspection of the air-raid shelters standing in tenement back-greens in Dundee with a view to permitting their demolition on the grounds that they are a danger to public health or that they affect the amenities of the property.

These shelters are maintained by the local authority, but, as I said in answer to a Question on 15th May, I am always prepared to authorise their demolition in particular cases where this is shown to be essential.
