§ Mr. Lennox-BoydA meeting on 7th May between the Malayan Planting Industries Employers' Association and the National Union of Plantation Workers failed to reach a settlement to this dispute. The Commissioner of Labour is in contact with both sides as a conciliator. The employers have offered arbitration, which has been rejected by the union.
