§ Mr. Dodds-ParkerThe Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China invited a Parliamentary delegation to visit China. I understand that Mr. Speaker and the Lord Chancellor replied that, while they 73W would have been glad had it proved feasible to arrange for a delegation to visit China in response to this kind invitation, they regretted that they had had to come to the conclusion that on practical grounds it would not be possible to do so at an early date.
