§ 82. Mr. Gibsonasked the Secretary of State for Air what consideration is given to assisting men who, at the end of their service, are going on to the university, to enable them to have sufficient time to make their personal arrangements when their discharge date is within five days of their entry into the university; and whether he will take steps to assist them in such cases.
§ Mr. BirchIt has now been decided that an airman who has applied to be 45W called up in time to enable him to complete his whole-time service before going to a university will in future be allowed seven clear days between the date of his release and the date when he is due to join his university.
