Mr. Proctor

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government the changes in subsidy paid by the Government to local government authorities from 1950 to the last convenient date in respect of houses for applicants on the housing lists who do not qualify for special subsidies, such as slum clearance, overspill building, or new towns.

Mr. Sandys

The housing subsidy payable in 1950 was £16 10s. Subsequent changes were as follows: £26 14s., £22 Is. and £10.
