§ Mr. H. NichollsDetails of the cost of capital development and running of each experimental husbandry farm in England and Wales are given in the following table. Column I shows the total capital outlay including the cost of acquisition and subsequent improvements, machinery and equipment, etc., from the date of establishment to 31st March, 1955. Column II shows the net surplus (+) or deficit (-) for the financial year ended 31st March, 1955, including the pay and expenses of technical and other staffs before providing for capital depreciation and other notional charges.
