§ Mr. Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in his forthcoming Budget, he will consider introducing the necessary legislation whereby all bookmakers are registered with the Inland Revenue Department and that all bets are made on the prescribed receipt form issued by the Inland Revenue from which a suitable betting tax will be deducted on the bookmakers' annual or quarterly return to the Inland Revenue Department of these betting-duty slips.
