§ Mr. J. Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he is aware that the House of Assembly in Nassau has passed unanimously a resolution condemning the colour bar; and what steps he proposes to take to implement this resolution by legislation for the Colony of Bahamas.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe resolution to which the hon. Member refers was the result of an Interim Report by a Select Committee appointed by the Bahamas House of Assembly to study the matter. As the Select Committee is continuing its deliberations I am unable to say whether or not legislation on this subject will be introduced into the Bahamas Legislature.
