§ Sir H. Webbeasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what progress is being made in regard to the scheme for Route 11 in the City of London, authorisation for part of which was given on 20th February, 1955; and when he will be able to make a further announcement.
§ Mr. WatkinsonOn the section authorised, extending from Aldersgate Street to Moorgate, the preliminary work of site clearance and re-location of sewers is in hand. I understand that the road works on this section should start towards the end of 1956. On the section west of Aldersgate Street the question of location and design is still under consideration by the City Corporation.
