§ Mr. Greyasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what progress has been made with the Browney Bridge—Farewell Hall widening scheme, work on which was started in August, 1955; and if he will give an estimated date for its completion.
§ Mr. WatkinsonThe new eastern carriageway is nearly completed, and work will commence shortly on the western carriageway. It is estimated that the whole scheme will be completed by the spring of 1957, although it is hoped that both carriageways will be open to traffic towards the end of this year.
