§ Major Lloyd-GeorgeOn 7th February, 1956, the latest date for which this information is available, of 13,463 male prisoners located in ordinary cells, 10,982 were alone in a cell and 2,481 were three to a cell. Another 3,527 male prisoners were located in other types of accommodation.
