§ Mr. J. StuartNo child exempted from attendance at school for work in the potato harvest may be employed unless proper arrangements have been made for his mid-day meal. More than one-third of the children who are granted exemption for potato harvesting are supplied with a mid-day meal by the Schools Meals Service, and every encouragement is given to farmers to make use of this service where it is practicable to do so in order to ensure that the children get a balanced and adequate meal.
