HC Deb 26 June 1956 vol 555 cc41-2W
Mr. Gresham Cooke

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he will publish the calculations made by the Road Research Laboratory concerning the traffic improvement schemes for Hyde Park Corner and Marble Arch.

Mr. Watkinson

Detailed investigations are being made into these schemes, not only by the Road Research Laboratory, but also by the London County Council, who are the highway improvement authority, and other interested bodies. I must await the completion of all these investigations before deciding whether or in what form publication of the results would be worth while.

The convenience of traffic is not, of course, the only factor which has to be considered in formulating such schemes.
