§ 76. Mr. G. Robertsasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has yet had a reply from the Spanish Government to his representations concerning the seizure of the Holy Scriptures from the depot of the British and Foreign Bible Society in Madrid.
§ Lord John HopeI regret that I am unable to report any developments. Her Majesty's Ambassador made further representations to the Spanish Government on 21st May and was informed that the matter was still under consideration. We are in touch with the British and Foreign Bible Society's representatives in London, and will continue to do all that we can to help them.
