§ Mr. Malcolm MacPhersonasked the Minister of Labour, in view of the difficulties for small firms in providing all-round training for trade or professional apprentices, what encouragement he is giving to group apprenticeship schemes.
§ Mr. CarrI welcome the introduction of properly organised group apprenticeship schemes, and the services of my Department are available to firms who wish to have advice in their preparation. The whole question of the adequacy of apprenticeship arrangements in industry is at present under review by a sub-committee of the National Joint Advisory Council under my chairmanship.
