§ Sir A. Bossomasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, in view of the fact that the Kent County Council has unanimously approved the plans for a by-pass for Maidstone and one for the Medway towns, if he will state when the Maidstone by-pass will now be started and give an estimate as to when it will be available for general use.
§ Mr. WatkinsonI know the views of the Kent County Council but I must also consider the representations which have been made to me in favour of an alternative central road through the county. I will reach a decision on this difficult and important matter as soon as I can.
