§ Mr. D. Jonesasked the Attorney-General to make a statement about the proposed legislation to alter the law relating to liability for damages for injury to persons by straying animals on roads and otherwise.
§ The Attorney-GeneralThe recommendations of the Goddard Committee for an alteration of the law in regard to liability for damage done by straying animals were linked with other recommendations which have proved somewhat controversial. For this reason, and because of lack of Parliamentary time, I cannot hold out any hope of legislation at present.
