§ 69. Mr. Peytonasked the Under-Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations what is the reason for excluding from the benefit of the Pensions Increase Acts those ex-Indian Government servants who are British subjects but who still live in India, Pakistan, Burma or Aden and if he will give the numbers of those so excluded.
§ Commander NobleI assume that my hon. Friend is referring to European members of the former Indian services. The question of any increases for pensioners living in India, Pakistan or Burma is one for the respective Governments, who find the money for and pay these pensions. Pensioners living in Aden draw their pensions from one of those Governments. No information is available as to the numbers living in India, Pakistan, Burma or Aden.
