§ Mr. G. Brownasked the Minister of Supply the total development and other costs borne by his Department in respect of the Viscount, Ambassador, and Britannia aircraft, respectively.
§ Mr. MaudlingThe total costs borne by the Ministry of Supply in respect of the development of the Viscount and Ambassador are £1.8 million and £1.5 million, respectively. Expenditure to date on the development of the Britannia series is £5.8 million. This expenditure is recovered wholly or partly by levies imposed on the sales of production aircraft and spares.
