§ 79. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will now make a statement on the policy of Her Majesty's Government relating to the constitutional future of Togoland.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe Trusteeship Council is at present discussing the affairs of the Trust Territory including its constitutional future.
Her Majesty's Government have conveyed to the Council their view that the results of the plebiscite held on 9th May indicate a clear majority in the Trust Territory as a whole in favour of the union of that territory with an independent Gold Coast.
