§ 78. Mr. Woodburnasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will now announce his decisions on the outcome of his discussions with local authorities on the finance of local authority housing and subsidies.
§ Mr. J. StuartI had a preliminary meeting with the three associations of local authorities on 20th April when a Working Party of Departmental and local authority officials was set up to ascertain the facts affecting the review. The Working Party reported on 16th June, and I discussed proposals for changes in the subsidies with the associations at another meeting on 6th July. I have not yet received the views of all the associations on these proposals, and I regret that I shall not be able to make a statement before the beginning of next week.
