§ Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies, in view of the decisive victory won by the party of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in the General Election held in the Gold Coast within the last few days, if he will now state the policy of Her Majesty's Government relating to the granting to the Gold Coast of independence within the Commonwealth.
