§ 68. Mr. Hunterasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation when the new Britannia air liners will be in service by the British Overseas Airways Corporation.
§ Mr. ProfumoB.O.A.C. will introduce the Britannia aircraft into service as soon as the engine difficulties which came to light during the recent proving flights in Africa have been completely remedied by the manufacturers. This is not expected to take long, but until the necessary modifications have been tested in flight under tropical conditions the Corporation cannot give a firm date.
