§ Mr. H. BrookeTwenty-two.
§ 30. Mr. Blackburnasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware of the financial difficulties which Purchase Tax on dustbins will impose on the poorer local authorities which provide dustbins from the rates; and whether, in view of the cumulative difficulties which local authorities are experiencing as a result of Government policy, he will now take steps to remove this tax.
§ Mr. H. BrookeI realise the extra charge on local authorities, but I cannot on that account except dustbins from the provisions of the last Finance Act.
