§ 41. Mr. A. J. Irvineasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer why Her Majesty's Government have not provided for a lower rate of Profits Tax to be imposed upon trading companies' profits derived from export trade than upon such profits derived from home trade.
§ Sir E. BoyleHer Majesty's Government are not satisfied that such a step would be in the national interest. I would refer the hon. Member to the observations of my right hon. Friend the Minister of State, Board of Trade, in the debate on 18th November.
