Mr. Hastingsasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many local authorities have provided special reception centres for the temporary reception of delinquent children under 12 years of age in place of remand homes under Section 3 of the Children and Young Persons (Amendment) Act, 1952; and what steps he is taking to recommend this course of action to such authorities.
