asked the Postmaster-General if he will now announce the names of the persons who have been appointed to conduct the inquiry into the allegations relating to broadcasting in Wales; and what terms of reference it is proposed to give them.

With the concurrence of my right hon. and gallant Friend the Home Secretary and Minister for Welsh Affairs I have appointed the following Committee of threeChairman, Sir Godfrey Ince, G.C.B., K.B.E. Members, Mr. H. V. Lloyd-Jones, Q.C., and Mr. John Beavan. The terms of reference, which have been agreed to by the B.B.C. and the Broadcasting Council for Wales are: To inquire into and report on the allegations made in the House of Commons on 30th January, 1956, of bias in the preparation, content, or presentation of the news, talks and discussion programmes in the Welsh service of the B.B.C.
