asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation when work will be begun upon improving the road junction at Valley Road, Hertfordshire, on the Great North Road.

Mr. Watkinson

Negotiations for the acquisition of land have begun. I hope they will be completed in time for the work to be started before the end of this year.
