asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies, in view of the large number of medical doctors in Hong Kong who have graduated from the university or who come from China, what effort is being made to recruit doctors from there for service in the Federation of Malaya.

Mr. Hare

The Federation Government plans to recruit from Hong Kong doctors who have the full qualifications necessary for registration in the Federation. Doctors from China will not be excluded.
