HC Deb 15 February 1956 vol 548 c267W
91. Mr. M. Lindsay

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is satisfied that delivery of correspondence, both inwards and outwards, is taking no longer now that the postal address of Solihull, Birmingham, has been changed to Solihull, Warwickshire; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Alport

The temporary difficulties which are liable to follow changes of this sort have been aggravated at Solihull by sickness and severe weather conditions, and have resulted in some delay to correspondence. Everything possible is being done to overcome the difficulties and the position is steadily improving.
